Phyllis Annette (Nason) McLaughlin
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Phyllis McLaughlin of Tracy, NB announce her peaceful passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on January 14. 2026. Phyllis was born on August 23, 1940 in Tracy, NB. She was the daughter of the late Myrtle (Phillips) and Rainsford Nason. Phyllis was the faithful wife to the Late Garth McLaughlin.
“Phyllis has spoken often of going to dance with Jesus, and the family takes great comfort in knowing that day has arrived”.
Phyllis will be dearly missed by her daughters; Cindy (Roger) Calhoun, Teresa (Gary) Gauvin, Vicki McLaughlin, Meredith (late Pino) Bruni and Deidre McLaughlin (Mike Evegroen), ten grandchildren; Jaime (Danny), Lenore (Late Amie), Jarret (Jill), Jeanette (Garnet), Ashley (Scott), Amanda (Jonathan), Carrie (Richie), Isabella, Julianna, Wesley (Meaghan), twelve great-grandchildren; Colby, Ryder, Samantha, Kyle, Lilly, Cooper, Mac, Fin, Jesse, Dylan, Hunter and Isla, a great-great-granddaughter Emerson, her sister Madelyn (Doug) Duval, three sisters-in-law; Faye, Shirley and Charlene, along with several nieces, nephews, and good friends.
Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was her greatest treasure. Phyllis was a dedicated Anglican Church member and thoroughly enjoyed sharing fellowship with her church family. She loved sports, and “Let’s Go Blue Jays” was never far from her lips. She loved to quilt, knit socks and recently took up Diamond Dot painting. She was enjoying her new found strength she gained from her exercise classes and was always up for a trip to town with the “Seniors on the Go” Program.
Along with her parents and her husband, Phyllis was also predeceased by her daughter Lisa, four brothers; LaVergne, Conrad, Lloyd and Harold, as well as her grandson Garth Bowers.
For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis’s memory would be appreciated by the family to the St. Mark’s Building Fund or Hospice House.
Family and friends are invited for Visitations at St. Marks Anglican Church on Friday January 16, 2026, from 3-6 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 17, 2026, at 11am at St. Marks Anglican Church in Tracy, NB with Rev. Robert McLean officiating. Interment will be in the Spring.
