Gary MacGougan
It is with great sadness that the family of Gary William MacGougan announces his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family on March 30, 2024. Gary was born on February 15, 1939, in Port Credit, Peel Co. Ontario to the late Cora MacGougan.
Gary was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Gary and Linda shared their lives together, spanning 61 years of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a quiet and patient man who took great care with everything he did, making sure that everything was “just so”. Gary grew up on a farm and started his trucking career at an early age, earning his driver's license at 15. Gary worked for various companies as a mechanic and a short-haul and long-haul trucker for many years. Gary was a natural storyteller and loved making people laugh with his quick wit. In his spare time, he loved to go fishing with his friends. He also loved tinkering and working on things, a trait he passed down to his son and three grandsons.
